Prospectee ("we", "us", "our") provides a bring-your-own-API-keys (BYOK) lead enrichment platform. We collect only what we need to operate the service:

• Account data: name, email, company, and password hash you provide on sign-up or beta access requests.
• API keys you connect: third-party data provider keys you choose to add. These are encrypted at rest and used only to make enrichment calls on your behalf.
• Lead data you upload: rows, columns, and enrichment results you process inside Prospectee.
• Usage data: log data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and feature interactions for reliability and product analytics.
• Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies for authentication and analytics tags (e.g., Google Tag Manager) for traffic measurement.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Prospectee service.
• Forward enrichment requests to the third-party providers you have connected, using your keys.
• Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Providers

Prospectee is BYOK. When you connect a provider (e.g., enrichment, email-finding, or AI APIs) and run an enrichment, the relevant lead data is sent directly from our infrastructure to that provider using your key. Those providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting each provider's terms.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With infrastructure sub-processors (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics) under contract.
• With third-party data providers you have explicitly connected.
• If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption of API keys at rest, scoped access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and lead data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete lead data or your account at any time. Backups and logs are retained for a limited period before being purged.
